China’s Anbang Insurance Group will pay $6.5bn to acquire Strategic Hotels & Resorts from Blackstone Group, according to people with knowledge of the matter.
Blackstone only bought the hotel group in December, paying around $450m less than the price indicated in the Anbang deal.
