China’s Anbang Insurance is set to acquire the outstanding 33% of Vancouver’s Bentall Centre from GWL Realty Advisors, according to people with knowledge of the matter.
Anbang had previously bought a 66% stake in the complex from Ivanhoe Cambridge. The two deals would value the complex at more than C$1bn.
The Bentall Centre comprises 1.5m sq ft of space in four office towers and a retail centre.
