Anchor and ECV to create Hampshire care village

Care homes provider Anchor and English Care Villages are drawing up plans for a multi-million-pound Hampshire development.

The companies are working together to create a 36-bed care home and 110 assisted living flats, set across seven acres, just off Sandhurst Road in Yateley.

A restaurant, surgery, gym and library are also part of the proposals, which will be submitted to Hart district council.

Dave Tobutt, Anchor property development manager, said: “The need for care villages that provide appropriate specialist accommodation , joined-up services and access to on-site health facilities, is becoming more widely recognised by communities nationwide.”

If planning permission is given, work on the project will begin next year, and the village will open in 2014.
