Whitbread’s commercial and property director Mark Anderson has highlighted the increasing demand for low-cost accommodation in a report about Premier Inns’ plans to launch the UK’s first budget airport hotels.
Premier Inn, which Whitbread owns, will open four branches at Gatwick, Heathrow and Stansted.
The hotel at Gatwick will be the largest of the four. It will provide direct access to North Terminal.
