Well-known North West specialist Andrew Froude has died at the age of 78.
He recently retired as the chairman of Jackson-Stops & Staff, a position he had held for 20 years.
Froude first joined the Chester office of Jackson-Stops & Staff in 1963 as a land agent and rapidly established a reputation across the North West of England as a skilful agent. He joined the board of directors in 1982 and 10 years later was appointed chairman of the firm.
Born in Berkshire, he was a keen and very able golfer, and was captain of the Chartered Surveyors Golf Society and the City of Chester Golf Society.
He is survived by his wife Pat, two sons and four grandchildren.
A service of thanksgiving will be held at St Andrew’s Church, Tarvin, Cheshire on 30 January at 12:30pm.
He died on 19 December 2014.
