Two leasing deals have been agreed at the Shard, SE1.
Mitie Group, the facilities management company, will move in during the first quarter of 2018, the 31st business to do so.
The company has agreed a 15-year lease to take the entirety of level 12, totally 29,824 sq ft, as it brings 250 employees from three separate locations together under one roof.
Mitie said its deal would drive cost-efficiency – as Mitie currently leases three separate offices – and would strengthen collaboration across teams.
Existing occupier Foresight Group, the independent infrastructure and private equity investment manager, is also expanding by over a third and has agreed to take a further 10,143 sq ft on level 18 in line with its existing lease.
Michael Baker, chief executive of REM, the asset manager of the Shard, said: “Mitie will move into the last full office floorplate in the building and we are pleased to welcome our first facilities management company.”
Phil Bentley, chief executive of Mitie, said: “The connected workspace is at the heart of our new strategy in Mitie, and we couldn’t find a better location than the Shard to showcase this.”
