Amerada Hess has leased a second floor at Thameside Art Deco building The Adelphi, WC2, for its new European HQ. In the largest Midtown deal so far this quarter, the US energy company has taken the 26,800 sq ft level 8 for 15 years and is believed to be paying £47.50. Last year it took the 26,000 sq ft level 9 from former tenant CSG, and it is now in discussions with landlord Gefica Industries to extend that 10-year lease. Both floors will be refurbished by early next year, when Amerada, advised by CBRE, moves in. Knight Frank acted for Gefica.
