Antler spends £9.4m in Scottish industrial market

Antler Property Investments has bought the Cartsburn Maritime portfolio in Greenock, Scotland, from the Laser Richmond Trust.

Antler has bought the long-leasehold interest in the portfolio for £7.5m and has an option to purchase the freehold.

The portfolio includes three pavilion buildings totalling 48,597 sq ft (4,514 sq m) and three industrial units that total 25,500 sq ft (2,369).

All of the buildings are let to Scottish Enterprise on 25-year leases from 1994 and are sublet to occupiers including Royal Bank of Scotland, Mercury Communications, Serco Land and the Graham Group.  

Separately, Antler has bought a warehouse on the Houston Industrial Estate, in Livingston, also in Scotland, from Homestyle Group for £1.9m.

It totals 46,722 sq ft (4,340 sq m) on a 3.7-acre (1.5-ha) site. Homestyle has taken a 15-year, leaseback.
