The boss of electicals retailer AO World has told staff to get back to the office or quit.
John Roberts, who founded the Bolton-based business in 2000, has taken a hardline stance on hybrid working and has made it clear what the options are for staff who wish for more flexibility.
“I would urge them to please leave,” he said. “The production levels of those people working here who don’t want to be in the office are much lower. Everyone almost breathes a sigh of relief when they leave.”
He was adamant that the business had not struggled to recruit new staff.
