Apollo spec scheme approved

shed_THUMB.jpegTrebor Developments and investment partner Aviva Investors have won planning consent for a 94,500 sq ft speculative industrial development to be built at Birmingham’s Advanced Manufacturing Hub on the edge of the city centre.

The development partners were appointed by the Homes and Communities Agency and Birmingham City Council to bring forward the speculative industrial scheme – known as Apollo – at the Hub, which sits next to the Aston Expressway/A38.

Work will start on site in July, allowing for occupation by February 2017.

Bob Tattrie, managing partner of Trebor Developments, said: “This is the next significant step in the fast track implementation of this major industrial facility. We are already in early discussions with several parties.”

The Advanced Manufacturing Hub has already attracted engineering companies Hydraforc,e which has a new 125,000 sq ft unit, and Guhring, whose scheme is currently being built.

Letting agents for the Advanced Manufacturing Hub are Savills and Cushman & Wakefield.
