Apollo Leisure has announced a £40m expansion programme for its multiplex cinema division. The company intends to open 20 such cinemas across the country over the next four years.
According to Roger Holden of Apollo Leisure, the first multiplex in this phase of development is due to open in the centre of Leamington Spa, Warwickshire, before the end of the year. Edge-of-town multiplex cinemas in Burnley, Lancashire, and Worksop, Nottinghamshire, will follow next year.
Apollo currently operates 20 UK cinemas with more than 50 screens.
