Aprirose names new chief executive of hotels

Property investment company Aprirose has appointed London & Regional’s Tim Shearman as the new chief executive of its hotels division.

Shearman joined London & Regional in 2014 as chief operating officer of its hotels business, where he oversaw a £4bn hotels portfolio.

Before that, he was vice-president of asset management for Westmont Hospitality Group, where he was responsible for its European hotels.

Shearman has spent more than 32 years in the industry, having started his career with Hilton in various general manager roles. He has also worked at Kew Green Hotels, leading its operations strategy.

In his new role, he will oversee asset management and growth of Aprirose’s hotel operations within the business’s £1.7bn real estate portfolio.

The hotels business comprises 37 hotels with 5,576 beds under management. Its recent hotel acquisitions include the QHotels business for £525m in September 2017.

Manish Gudka, chief executive at Aprirose, said: “Following the acquisition of QHotels, we are continuing to manage and grow our asset base within the sector as we identify investment opportunities in the market.

“Tim brings with him a wealth of experience and strong industry relationships and is perfectly placed to execute our structured hotels business strategy.”
