Aprirose sells Wirral leisure scheme for £44m

Aprirose has sold its multi-let retail and leisure scheme in the Wirral for £44m.

Marine Point, located in New Brighton, an affluent seaside resort on the tip of the Wirral Peninsula between Liverpool and North Wales, has been acquired by David Samuel Properties.

The 234,615 sq ft development, which is anchored by a Morrisons supermarket, also hosts a seven-screen Light cinema, 66-bedroom Travelodge as well as Iceland, Greene King, Home Bargains, Prezzo, Costa and Starbucks, with almost 700 car parking spaces.

Marine Point is one of the Wirral’s leading attractions, welcoming over half a million visitors a year to its panoramic sea views and marine boating lake.

Aprirose chief investment officer Meenal Devani said the capital would be reinvested “in sectors such as affordable PRS, student accommodation, hospitality, leisure and industrial real estate”.

CBRE acted for Aprirose and David Samuel Properties was advised by Metis Real Estate Advisors.
