A study of Scottish house prices has found Arbroath, Motherwell and Greenock to be the most affordable commuter towns.
The study by the Bank of Scotland looked at the prices of houses within an hour’s travel from Aberdeen, Edinburgh and Glasgow.
Motherwell’s average house price of £130,268 made it the most affordable commuter town for Edinburgh, while Greenock was the equivalent for Glasgow.
