Architect’s ‘price list’ to murder ex

An architect drew up an extensive ‘price list’ of ways to harm and murder his ex-wife while he was serving a sentence for attacking her home.

Andrew McGarry, 39, had been imprisoned for ramming his car into his ex-wife’s home and then setting it on fire. But while imprisoned he approached two fellow inmates with a list of of payments which they would receive for various attacks on his former spouse and her neighbour, named as Andrea.

Fees ranged from £100 for breaking the windows to £8,000 for killing her, with a further £1,400 if Andrea was also seriously injured or killed in a fire. A total of £50,000

McGarry, who also handed over detailed plans of the houses, owns his own architecture practice. He denies two charges of soliciting murder and three charges of encouraging or assisting the commission of criminal offences.

The trail continues.
