HLM Architects has launched a new digital tool for its staff to gauge how effectively their buildings support wellbeing.
The firm will use its HLM Healthcheck tool on all concept designs to measure the planned building’s effect on users’ health and wellbeing, using best practice from design guidelines including CIBSE, BREEAM and WELL.
The software will identify issues around access to views and daylight, air quality, noise pollution and connections to nature.
HLM aims to achieve RIBA 2030 Sustainable Outcomes on all of its projects by 2025.
