Arconic knew Grenfell cladding was lethal in 2007

The company responsible for Grenfell Tower’s cladding was warned in 2007 that it was lethal.

Arconic was informed a decade before the disaster that the cladding burns like fuel oil and releases lethal toxic smoke.

In June 2011 Arconic warned a Spanish customer not to use its PE panels because its fire performance rating of E meant that it was so bad it came “close to spontaneous combustion”.
