Loxton Developments strikes major letting at Redditch’s Oakenshaw House

Arcus-Solutions-logoArcus FM, a joint venture between Arcus Solutions and Sainsbury’s, has signed to take the whole of Loxton Developments’ Oakenshaw House in Redditch, Worcester.

In one of the largest office deals in the county in the last decade, the facilities management and engineering maintenance business will house its 120 staff in the currently vacant 13,000 sq ft building. A 10-year lease has been agreed on an undisclosed rent.

The firm will transfer its call centre operations and technical performance engineering hub to the building.

Arcus FM provides facilities management services for Sainsbury’s supermarkets, convenience stores and petrol stations nationwide. While Sainsbury’s is its biggest client, it is branching out and seeking to tender for new business.

Arcus FM chief executive Chris Green said: “We have outgrown our offices on Hartlebury trading estate and needed something larger. And, given the planned growth of the non-Sainsbury’s arm, we were conscious of the need for somewhere which would promote a smart image. Oakenshaw House fits the bill.”

The move will take place around the end of August. Loxton Developments is currently carrying out a £500,000 refurbishment.

Arcus FM is taking a 10-year lease on the whole of the 13,000 sq ft former-HQ, which had been vacant prior to Loxton Developments’ acquisition.

John Truslove is letting agent for the building.
