Argent Related has pinpointed build-to-rent as a core part of its growth plans as a rebrand sees the US and UK partners in the venture switch places.
The developer, established in 2015 when Argent and Related Companies joined forces, wants to “significantly expand” its build-to-rent portfolio, which currently comprises some 3,000 homes across its development pipeline.
The company announced the push alongside a rebranding as Related Argent, a move it said would reinforce the company’s “reputation… to access global capital markets”. Related Companies raises some $8bn annually for its real estate business.
Robert Evans and Nick Searl (pictured), partners at Related Argent and joint managing partners of Argent, described the rebranding as “the next stage in our company’s journey” to deliver an £8bn development pipeline in the UK that includes the 180-acre Brent Cross Town development, the Tottenham Hale redevelopment and a build-to-rent scheme in King’s Cross.
