Argent’s 49-storey Birmingham BTR tower approved

Argent has been granted planning consent for a 49-storey build-to-rent tower at its Paradise development in Birmingham.

The Octagon will rise to 155m and will be the world’s tallest octagonal residential building.

It comprises the first residential development on the 17-acre site, with 346 BTR flats.

The development in the latest in a slew of high-rise rental schemes in the city.

Birmingham’s tallest tower is currently the Mercian on Broad Street, Moda Living’s first BTR scheme. This month the city approved plans from Court Collaboration for a 51-storey BTR called One Eastside next to the High Speed 2 station at Curzon Street.
