Home Retail Group shut seven Argos outlets and one Homebase during the 13 weeks to the beginning of the month.
The closures left it with 739 Argos stores and 340 Homebases. The move fits with its strategy of trimming the portfolio as leases come up for expiry as opposed to making widespread closures.
