Arlington completes ‘largest spec letting’ at Birmingham Business Park

IT company FI Group Plc has taken 3,041 sq m (32,732 sq ft) in what is claimed to be the largest speculative letting at Arlington’s flagship Birmingham Business Park.

FI is paying £204 per sq m (£19 per sq ft) for the self-contained Compton House scheme, which is due for completion in October and was developed by AMP and Arlington. This follows the successful letting of the King’s Court office scheme on the park and confirms Arlington’s confidence in the market, says its Regional Development Director, Jim Johnston.

“Our outstanding growth in the past few years requires us to take a fresh look at the shape of FI for the new Millennium, our investment in Birmingham Business Park demonstrates our continuing commitment to customers and staff in the West Midlands,” said Tricia Gardom, FI Group’s Group marketing director.

Arlington is currently developing the 4,000 sq m (43,000 sq ft) Bishop’s Court at BBP.

Grimley and Strutt & Parker are agents on BBP. Chesterton advised FI Group.
