Arlington has confirmed that it is planning a speculative office phase of 4,645 sq m (50,000 sq ft) at Aztec West Business Park in North Bristol following a letting of the last available space on the park to Logica.
As revealed by EGi last month, the IT consultant has taken the 1,948 sq m (20,970 sq ft) Building 2420 in the Quadrant at a passing rent of £193.75 per sq m (£18 per sq ft) on an 18-year term.
Jim Johnston, sales director at Arlington Property Developments, said that the rent achieved is evidence of the strength in the market and that the developer is considering a phase of speculative offices.
He said: “Aztec West continues to be the leading business park in the region and we are very pleased to accommodate Logica’s expansion on the park.” Logica recently acquired Aethos which already occupies Building 400 on the business park.
Strutt & Parker, Alder King and DTZ Debenham Thorpe acted for Arlington. CB Hillier Parker advised Logica.
