Arlington Property Development is poised to sell 46,450 sq m (500,000 sq ft) at Gloucester Business Park.
Yesterday, Wincanton bought the freehold of a 5.5ha (13.6 acre) site at Arlington Property Development’s Gloucester Business Park, near junction 11a of the M5, to build a £15m dairy products chill facility.
The company facility will provide about 23,225 sq m (250,000 sq ft) and will be completed by the middle of next year. It is thought Wincanton paid about £3.74m for the land.
But according to Arlington’s regional development director Nick Murray, there is a further land sale imminent following the company gaining detailed consent for another 23,225 sq m (250,000 sq ft) warehouse at the park last week.
Gloucester Business Park is located on the A417 and totals 111.7ha (276 acres). There is outline consent for up to 408,760 sq m (4.4m sq ft) of office and industrial property at the site. Stadco is already building a 15,793 sq m (170,000 sq ft) car body pressings plant at the park to service the Honda factory in Swindon.
Strutt & Parker and Alder King acted for Arlington and DTZ Debenham Thorpe adivsed Wincanton.
