The Association of Residential Managing Agents has suspended Haywards Property Services, part of the Erinaceous Group, from its corporate membership for breaching the organisation’s code of practice.
This week the organisation downgraded Haywards to an affiliate member and said it was thinking of expelling it following complaints from residents of The Powerhouse, a luxury Chiswick housing block.
Andrew McKeer, vice-chairman of ARMA, said ARMA had taken this unusual measure because of “serious breaches in the code of practice and failure to remedy these in a specified time-scale”.
Ken Hackney, a director of Haywards Property Services, said: “We are saddened that we have been suspended from ARMA, particularly as most of the issues have been resolved.”
