Armstrong bags top occupier solutions job at Knight Frank

Knight Frank has appointed a new global head of occupier solutions, bringing partner Tim Armstrong in to replace incoming senior partner and group chair William Beardmore-Gray.

Armstrong, who is based in Singapore, has worked at the agency since 2007, when he joined its Australian office.

He has more than 20 years’ experience in transaction management and advisory, having worked with occupier and landlord clients across the office and industrial sectors.

Armstrong has led Knight Frank’s occupier solutions business across the Asia Pacific region for the past three years.

During that time the department has more than doubled the size of the portfolios it manages on behalf of clients.

As part of the expansion, the firm has made a number of senior hires this year, including Dan Whitmore as head of global portfolio solutions for Asia Pacific, Guillaume Raquillet as head of occupier strategy and solutions in France and Andrew Love as head of occupier strategy and solutions and capital markets in the Middle East.

Armstrong said: “I’m delighted to have been appointed to lead Knight Frank’s global occupier strategy and solutions team and build on the legacy of William Beardmore-Gray.

“While the past 18 months have seen seismic changes to the world of work and the way we conduct business, we continue to provide our occupier and landlord clients with first-class advice and bespoke solutions that keep them one step ahead of today’s rapidly evolving landscape.”

Alistair Elliott, senior partner and group chairman at Knight Frank, added: “Tim is extremely well-placed to lead our global occupier business, growing the offer and expertise we deliver to our diverse range of clients.

“Under his leadership, the APAC occupier team has significantly advanced, winning global mandates and recruiting top talent. Tim’s leadership from Singapore reflects the strategic intent of our business to expand our operations across the region and future-proof our firm with key roles based outside of the UK.”
