Arora lands at Heathrow’s T2

Arora hotel HeathrowThe Arora Group is developing the first hotel in the central terminal area at Heathrow Airport.

The group has been given the green light for a new 298-bed hotel at The Queen’s Terminal, T2, and is currently in talks regarding a potential partnership to operate the hotel.

Arora is also behind the Crowne Plaza and Holiday Inn Express at Terminal 4, bringing its total development pipeline around the airport to 1,048 beds.

Surinder Arora, founder and chairman of the Arora Group said: “The people at the Arora Group are experts in this kind of development and we proudly bring another hotel to the Heathrow area.”

Stephen Wilkinson, Heathrow property director, said: “This hotel is a further step in Heathrow’s strategy to provide the world’s best airport facilities and services for our passengers.”

Earlier this year the firm announced the development of 85,000 sq ft World Business Centre 4, which will be anchored by travel technology company Amadeus, and the purchase of the Hilton London Stansted. It also opened the InterContinental London − The O2, in Greenwich, SE10.

The Arora Group manages £1.5bn of assets, including 1m sq ft of office space and eight hotels comprising 2.3m sq ft.
