Art and design school signs at Manchester’s Bridgewater House

Victoria College of Arts and Design has agreed to take space at Bridgewater House, 58-60 Whitworth Street, Manchester, managed by Catella APAM on behalf of Danish investor Britannia Invest.

The education provider has agreed a 16-year lease to take the fifth floor of the 180,000 sq ft, 11-storey building, which will amount to 20,034 sq ft at an annual rent of £26 per sq ft.

Recent refurbishment works have resulted in the building achieving an EPC A rating.

William Grenfell, associate director at Catella APAM, said: “Securing Victoria College of Arts and Design at Bridgewater House highlights the demand for flexible, high-quality office space that combines character with modern amenities. We are excited to see the continued success of this building and look forward to welcoming other tenants to the space.”

Savills and Edwards & Co acted as joint letting agents for the landlord.
