The Art Deco Midland Hotel in Morecambe has been sold for £850,000.
The new owner, rumoured to be Kalber Leisure, will have to spend millions of pounds refurbishing the building.
The property has been on the market for three years and, before a buyer emerged, local agents had asked the council to compulsory purchase it
