Arthrex signs for UK HQ at Smithy Wood

Orthopaedic training and medical equipment specialist Arthrex has taken 10,000 sq ft for its new UK HQ at St Paul’s Developments’ Smithy Wood regeneration scheme in South Yorkshire.

The Florida-based company has taken a 10-year lease on a building at the former colliery site.

It has relocated its UK base to Smithy Wood from Presidents Buildings Office Park, Sheffield.

The new office space includes conference facilities and also a bespoke facility for training surgeons, registrars and nurses.

Development on the 50-acre park, a joint venture between St Paul’s, the Duke of Norfolk and regeneration agency Yorkshire Forward, comprises an office park of six detached buildings and two industrial units of 21,260 sq ft and 23,850 sq ft.

CB Richard Ellis, Knight Frank and Fowler Sandford advised St Paul’s Developments; Crossland Otter Hunt represented Arthrex.
