Ashfield Land has acquired a 32.4ha (80 acre) site next to Arlington’s Aztec West business park in north Bristol on which it plans to build an office and residential scheme.
The Bristol-based developer paid Capitec NHS Property Management £3m for the former Hortham Hospital site next to the M5/M4 interchange. The deal is unconditional on future planning consent.
Ashfield, which also owns sites in Andover, Cheltenham and Braintree, will demolish the 23,225 sq m (250,000 sq ft) of existing hospital buildings.
King Sturge advised the vendor while Ashfield was unrepresented.
