Ashfield Land has partnered with Gazeley to deliver Rail Central, a proposed strategic rail freight interchange and logistics hub near Northampton.
The development, which is at the pre-application stage, is expected to include 7.4m sq ft of distribution and logistics space at the intersection of the West Coast main line and the Northampton loop line, two miles from the M1.
Ashfield and Gazeley, the European division of global logistics operator GLP, are expected to submit a planning application in mid-2018 after the statutory consultation, which runs from March to April.
