Ashfield Land has hired Nick Scott, Schroders’ former head of retail property, to lead its new London push.
Scott has been appointed a director and head of the London office for the property development and investment group.
Based at 24 Old Burlington Street, W1, Scott will be looking to diversify the company out of its traditional regional investments, and has £100m earmarked for London and South East investments over the next 12 months. Mixed-use assets and development opportunities ranging from £5m to £20m will be sought.
More hires for London are expected.
Scott was previously head of retail property at Schroders Property Investment Management, where he worked for three years.
Andrew Fisher, chief executive of Ashfield Land, said: “We’re confident that appointing Nick and building a team in London will give us increased exposure to development and investment opportunities in the South East, but also other opportunities across the country.”
