Ben Holmes has joined Ashfield Land as the head of its London office.
Holmes, previously a director at Richardsons, will lead Ashfield’s projects in London and the South East. He will also have a remit to pursue development and investment opportunities nationwide.
He will be tasked with identifying and converting investment and development schemes across the residential, commercial and mixed-use sectors.
Ashfield Land recently hired development surveyors Nick Harris and Declan O’Neill.
Managing director Andrew Fisher said: “Ben brings us what I value the most – energy, passion for property, commercial skills and the desire to make a difference.”
Holmes will operate out of Ashfield’s Mayfair office at 17 Grosvenor Hill, W1.
He said: “What excites me the most about joining Ashfield Land is being nimble, being focused and being backed to target opportunities and execute deals.
“The business combines the best of entrepreneurialism and SME agility with the capability across planning, finance, construction management and delivery that you typically expect to only find in much larger operations. That makes is a hugely attractive place for me to build my career and I’m looking forward to getting started.”
Ashfield is actively seeking investment and development sites nationwide. It recently sold its Pyramids Business Park near Edinburgh to London & Regional.
