Ask Real Estate, Carillion and Tristan Capital Partners have received planning consent for 100 Embankment, the second of two speculatively-built office buildings in Salford, Greater Manchester.
The first building, 101 Embankment, is due to complete in October. Swinton Insurance has placed 70,000 sq ft under offer at the 165,000 sq ft Greengate offices.
100 Embankment will comprise 166,000 sq ft of grade-A office space over eight floors.
Embankment sits within Salford and Manchester’s medieval quarter, directly opposite Manchester Cathedral and close to Victoria Station.
Ask Real Estate managing director John Hughes said: “We are delighted that we now have the green light to start on the second Embankment building. The market interest in 101 Embankment has been significant and we are already talking to potential occupiers who are interested in phase two.”
