Hundreds more stores could close as Asos moves into pole position for Topshop.
The online-only fast-fashion retailer is understood to have offered around £300m for the brands, but is not interested in retaining any of its 150 stores.
The Issa brothers and TDR are also looking at buying Topshop, with plans to fold it into Asda.
The sale process could come to a head this week, with Deloitte due to file its report on the administration to creditors tomorrow.
