Developer Brunswick Mansford has signed casino operator Aspinalls to anchor its 210,000 sq ft (19,509 sq m) £30m Salubrious Place mixed-use scheme in Swansea city centre.
Aspinalls is taking 100,000 sq ft (9,290 sq m). Owner Damian Aspinall plans a dozen UK casinos to be operated under the Aspers brand in memory of his father John.
Salubrious Place, in Wind Street, comprises 17 separate mixed-use units, including a health club, hotel accommodation, a multi-storey car park and various cafe bars.
Scottish & Newcastle is operating a 116-bed Premier Lodge Hotel, while leisure group Bakersfield has signed for a Mood concept bar. NCP is the car park operator.
Once a haunt of poet Dylan Thomas, Wind Street was one of the few parts of
Swansea to evade Hitler’s bombers during the Second World War.
