An online platform matching those looking for office space with those who have it, wants to be “the next CBRE”.
Shoreditch-based Hubble, which has raised $2m (£1.6m) in venture capital since it launched in 2014, is poised to disrupt the office agency world.
Co-founded by former investment banker Tushar Agarwal, a computer scientist, and Second Home co-founder Rohan Silva, Hubble was Starwood Capital’s first proptech investment.
Initially set up to help small businesses and entrepreneurs find desk space, the firm expanded its client reach when larger firms such as Jaguar Landrover signed up to the platform.
There are now over 20,000 desks available to rent via the site, which has over 30,000 searches a month.
“We are essentially disrupting the pretty shady world of office brokers,” says Silva. “We started out providing support for start-ups but then bigger companies started using Hubble to find space.
“This is a reflection of how the property industry is changing so quickly, as big companies are increasingly looking for more flexible work space.”
More than 50% of the 17-strong Hubble team are developers – one of whom has joined from Singapore on an exceptional talent visa.
