Assura appoints British Land’s Emma Cariaga as NED

Primary care property developer Assura has appointed Emma Cariaga, the joint head of British Land’s Canada Water development, as a non-executive director.

Cariaga (pictured), who also sits on British Land’s executive committee, previously worked at Landsec and in development and land management at Barratt and Crest Nicholson.

She will be joined by former Accenture and NHS director Noel Gordon and Crick Institute chief operating officer Dr Sam Barrell as non-executive directors at the firm on 1 May.

Assura non-executive chairman Ed Smith said the new appointments would bring “an extensive array of new skills and expertise and provide crucial counsel as Assura continues to create the future community health service space for the country”.

It comes as non-executive director Jenefer Greenwood steps down from her role, having served as chair of the remuneration committee after her 2012 appointment.
