AstraZeneca gets OK for new headquarters

Cambridge city council has given AstraZeneca planning permission to build a £330m headquarters building on the outskirts of the city.

Work will start in spring and is due to be completed late in 2016. Some 2,000 staff will work in the building’s offices and laboratories.

Herzog & de Meuren designed the new building, which is in the shape of a doughnut.
