Two-thirds of Athawes’ 27-lot catalogue failed to sell at the Grand Connaught Rooms, WC2, on 8 December.
Nine lots sold – 34% – raising £1.5m. Prices ranged from £100 for a plot of land in Stamford, Lincolnshire, which was offered with no reserve, to £340,000 for a home in Barkingside, Essex, guided at £295,000-plus.
