Are you one of the hundreds of estate management students who were taught by valuation lecturer Bob Booth at Oxford Polytechnic or recruited by Booth as a graduate trainee at Hillier Parker? If so, you are invited to a charity drinks reunion.
The event, at 6.30pm on Wednesday 21 June at the Lansdowne Club, 9 Fitzmaurice Place, Berkeley Square, W1, will include a charity raffle and auction to celebrate the completion of a children’s home built in Sri Lanka in memory of the late Jonathan Sparkes (Oxpoly, 1974-1977).
Booth, who taught at Oxford between 1972 and 1988 and ran the graduate trainee programme at Hillier Parker from 1988 to 1995, has been supervising the construction of children’s homes on the east coast of Sri Lanka with the Ragalla Aid Project (www.ragalla.org).
He says: “The reunion party offers the opportunity for old friends to meet and wallow in nostalgia and support a charity.”
