ASR offers shot at MoD lots
Andrew Scott Robertson will bring a substantial portfolio of Ministry of Defence properties to auction at its 19 February sale at the Hotel Russell, WC1.The 18 lots in Wiltshire and Hampshire have a combined value of £2.3m and include 13 homes – more than half of them investment – four pieces of land and one former munitions store.
Countrywide raises £6.3m
Strong demand for lots with development potential pushed receipts to £6.3m at Countrywide Property Auctions’ inaugural sale at the Park Lane Hotel, W1. Some 26 lots were offered and 21 sold at the 30 January sale, equating to a success rate of 81% . It was the firm’s first sale following its decision to relocate from the previous venue at Kensington Town Hall, W8.
Price matters in North East
The Agents Property Auction raised £6.6m, of which £1.7m was in unconditional sales, at its 28 January auction at the Newcastle Marriott Hotel. The North East-based firm offered 110 lots and sold 78, reflecting a 71% success rate. Of the total lots sold, 25 were unconditional sales and 53 were conditional, equating to a success rate of 81% and 68%, respectively.
