Emson offers alternatives
A log cabin forms part of a lot to be offered at Clive Emson Auctioneers’ upcoming Kent sale. The 3.5-acre freehold site in Wootton, guided at £400,000 to £420,000, comprises offices, caravans, storage units, a garage and the cabin, which has a certificate of lawful use for residential. A former church in the centre of Dover is among the other 73 lots to be offered at the sale on 16 June.
Symonds & Sampson hits 96%
West Country auction house Symonds & Sampson achieved a 96% success rate at its most recent sale. Of 24 lots offered, 23 sold, raising £4.6m. A detached farmhouse with six rooms in Bridport, Dorset, sold for £619,000. The sale took place on 29 May at Digby Hall in Sherborne.
Lansdowne offers Fulham lot
A rear garage guided at £55,000 in Fulham, SW6, is due to be offered at the next Lansdowne Property Auctions sale. Other lots include a three-bedroom terrace house in Hull, Yorkshire, guided at £39,950. The auction takes place on 18 June at the Connaught, W1.
Morgan Evans feels the spirit
A lot comprising a Calvinist chapel was sold for £186,000, against a guide of £120,000 to £150,000, at the Morgan Evans’ auction on 28 May. The lot, in Anglesey, Wales, comes with a four-bedroom house and paddock area. The other three lots were withdrawn prior to sale.
Pattinson sale raises £2.9m
Pattinson Property Auctions posted a success rate of 52% for conditional lots sold or exchanged, at its 26 May auction in Newcastle. A total of £2.4m was raised conditionally, in addition to the £508,850 raised for eight unconditional lots.
