Barnett Ross achieved a 90% success rate at its 27 October auction, raising £18m. Of 40 lots offered, three sold prior and 30 sold on the day. A parade of six shops with flats above in Potters Bar, Herts, sold for £5.5m off a guide of £5.2m – a 4.9% gross yield.

Philip Arnold raises £3.3m
Philip Arnold Auctions raised £3.3m from 12 lots at its sale on 27 October. The success rate was 84%, with two lots sold prior and eight in the room.

Cotswolds farm under hammer
A 108-acre farm in the Cotswolds with a farmhouse dating back to the 1600s is included in Tayler & Fletcher’s latest catalogue. It is guided at £1.5m to £2m. The sale takes place on 11 November at Fosse Manor Hotel in Stow on the Wold, Gloucestershire.

AHL toasts £25.5m result
Auction House London raised £25.5m at its 27 October sale, selling 82% of 80 lots on offer. A 48,373 sq ft freehold site in Luton, Bedfordshire, with permission for 84 flats and student accommodation, sold for £4.9m off a £4.5m guide.

Chippy opportunity in Bristol
A fish-and-chip shop with two flats above in Bedminster, Bristol, will go under the hammer at Auction House Bristol and Somerset North’s 12 November sale. The shop is being sold vacant but currently commands a rent of £3,500 per week. The guide price is £300,000 to £350,000. The sale takes place at Gloucestershire Cricket Club.
