Murderer’s abode sold

A Manchester house seized by police during an investigation into its former owner, who was convicted of murder, was sold by Edward Mellor Auctions on 8 June for £80,000. The house had been sold two months before by Barnard Marcus for £71,500. Edward Mellor’s sale at the AJ Bell Stadium, Manchester, raised £4.1m, selling 56% of 77 lots offered.

Herts bungalow on offer

A three-bedroom bungalow on a freehold site of 7.5 acres with consent for a four-bedroom house, in Shenley, Herts, is being offered by Network Auctions. The former keeper’s lodge, guided at £950,000-plus, will be offered on 7 July at the Grosvenor House hotel, W1.

Pugh & Co toasts 74% success

Pugh & Company sold 68 out of 93 lots offered (74%), at its 9 June sale at Manchester United FC, raising £6.1m.

Dance school twirls into view

A dance school with offices above in Hartlepool, County Durham, is to be offered by William H Brown on 22 June at Leeds United FC. Guided at £90,000, the Grade II listed building generates £12,000 pa.
