Biggest Liverpool sale in 10 years

Sutton Kersh’s February auction was the largest the Liverpool city region has seen in more than 10 years. There were more than 160 lots offered and sales topped £9m, with close to 80% of properties sold on the day. The auction took place on 11 February at the Crown Plaza, Liverpool.

Barnett Ross to sell Tescos

The upcoming Barnett Ross auction will offer 34 lots, including three high street shops let to Tesco. The sale will be held on 25 February at the Radisson Blue Portman, W1.

Strettons raises £11.3m

Strettons raised £11.3m at its first sale of the year, selling 30 of the 53 lots on offer – a 56% success rate. The top lot was a freehold former pub in Greenwich, SE10, with permission for conversion into two two-bedroom flats. It sold for £1.3m. The sale took place on 11 February at the Grand Connaught Rooms, WC2.

Allsop launches Allsop Private

Allsop Ireland has launched an auction platform for commercial lots priced at €250,000 to €5m (£193,000 to £3.9m). The inaugural 30-lot sale will be held at the Royal Dublin Society on 9 March.

Slow sales in January

Auction sales in January were down by 3% on last year, according to Essential Information Group. Of 492 lots offered, 354 sold, raising £33m, down from £33.9m last year. London auctions sold 81% of lots offered, raising £218m – a 49.8% rise on last year’s result.
