Funeral parlour for sale in Enfield

Andrew Scott Robertson is offering a north London funeral directors’ building at its 3 November sale. Occupied by MK Memorials, the 1,098 sq ft 32 Lavender Gardens will go under the hammer with a guide price of £120,000 on behalf of Enfield council. Rental income is £8,000 pa. The auction will take place at the Hotel Russell, WC1.

 

70% sales for Paul Fosh

South Wales-based auctioneer Paul Fosh posted a 70% success rate, selling 41 out of 59 lots offered, at its 23 October auction, raising a total of £2.3m. The top lot was a 3,740 sq ft mixed-use block, 8-12 Newerne Street in Gloucestershire, that sold for £255,000, reflecting a 13.3% yield. The auction took place at the Park Inn Hotel, Cardiff.

 

Sound success for Allsop Space

Sin nightclub in Dublin sold for €2.4m (£1.9m) at the Allsop Space auction on 22 October. The 15,101 sq ft building in Temple Bar comprises eight flats and the club. It was sold on behalf of a private vendor to a private party at the auction at RDS in Ballsbridge.

 

CP Bigwood raises £8m

CP Bigwood achieved a 78% success rate and raised more than £8m at its 23 October auction. Of 83 lots offered, 64 sold, of which 13 were bought prior and 51 in the room. Bloomsbury Library, a Grade II listed Victorian library, was sold on behalf of Birmingham council for £100,000 to private investor Dr Saeed Alghadie. The auction took place at Aston Villa Football Club, Birmingham.

 

Pugh scores £4m at the Etihad

Pugh Auctions hit the £4m mark at its 23 October sale at Manchester City Football Club’s Etihad Stadium. The auction house recorded a 60% success rate, selling 52 of 87 lots, of which one, a former hotel, Bath Street in Southport, sold for £120,000.
