Waterfall Cottage for sale

A cottage with a waterfall in the garden is being offered with an adjacent house for £500,000-£650,000 at Robin Jessop’s auction on 17 January. Waterfall Cottage in Richmond, North Yorkshire, comprises two flats but has planning approval for conversion into one dwelling.

Strettons unloads Docks space

A large basement area below St Katharine Docks, E1, with potential for a bar or restaurant, beat its £600,000 guide to sell for £650,000 at Strettons’ auction at the Grand Connaught Rooms, WC2, on 13 December. The sale raised £7.6m from 46 lots and achieved a 66% success rate.

A&R sale raises £14.5m

Andrews & Robertson achieved a success rate of 77% at its 14 December auction, raising more than £14.5m. The average lot size was £260,000 and the day’s highest price was for a detached house in SW15, which sold for £975,000 on behalf of the London Borough of Wandsworth. The sale took place at the Montcalm Hotel, W1.


Kent lot beats guide by £1m

The former Buckland Hospital in Dover, which has development potential, sold for £1.4m off a guide of £300,000-£320,000 at Clive Emson’s 2 December sale in Maidstone, Kent.

Cheffins unlocks £1m day

A lock-up garage in Cambridge sold for £20,500 at Cheffins’ 7 December sale, which raised £1m from 13 lots, a success rate of 85%. The auction was held at Clifton House in Cambridge.
