A striking pink building on Euston Road, NW1, was sold for £1.5m by Barnett Ross last week. It was the first time the building, which features a restaurant and flat above, had been up for sale since 1954.
The gavel used by auctioneer John Barnett was lent for the occasion by the son of the late former owner and fellow auctioneer Ralph De Groot.
